Frequently Asked Questions
How does the odometer reading work?
Point your camera at your dashboard and Loggr uses Apple's on-device Vision AI to read the odometer number automatically. It works best with clear, well-lit photos of digital odometers.
Does Loggr work without an internet connection?
Yes — trip logging, odometer reading, and vehicle recognition all work completely offline. Weather data requires an internet connection, but it's optional and the trip will still be recorded without it.
How does vehicle recognition work?
Loggr creates a visual fingerprint of your dashboard using on-device machine learning. When you start a new trip, it compares the current photo against known vehicles and automatically selects the right one.
Can I enter the odometer manually?
Yes. If the camera can't read the odometer clearly, or you prefer manual entry, you can type in the reading directly. Enable "Manual Entry" in Settings.
How do I export my trips?
Go to the trip list, tap "Select", choose the trips you want to export, then tap the share icon. You can export as PDF (for printing or sharing) or CSV (for spreadsheets and accounting software).
Is my data backed up?
Loggr stores all data locally on your device. Your data is included in your regular iPhone backups (iCloud or local). We don't offer separate cloud sync at this time.
Why isn't weather data showing for my trips?
Weather data may be temporarily unavailable in some regions or conditions. Your trip is still recorded normally without it — weather will appear on future trips once available.
What iOS version is required?
Loggr requires iOS 17.0 or later. It runs on all iPhones and iPads that support iOS 17.
